Open Interest (OI) represents the total number of outstanding options or futures contracts that buyers/sellers hold in their portfolio. OI reflects the number of active contracts, contrary to volume, which represents the number of contracts traded during a specific period.
You can access OI data under the “Analyse” section in the menu bar by selecting “Open Interest.”
By default, you will be taken to the Nifty50 Open Interest page. To change it to another stock, type the name of the stock in the search box indicated below.
You can also directly search for the stock along with the desired strike price in the search box on the menu bar. For example, if you want to analyse OI data for Bank Nifty’s 24 April expiry, you can enter the stock name and expiry date in the search box to quickly locate the relevant data.
